Coke dry quenching technology is one of the important measures for saving energy, lowering consumption and environment protection for metallurgical industry. It is equipped with the most advanced coke oven environment protection process in the world, and has eliminated the pollution to the atmosphere by the surging soot of wet coke quenching method, enabling the coking to save the energy and protect environment to advance a new step. After putting into production, the cold strength M40 of coke shall be enhanced 3%, M10 shall be lowered to 0.47%, heat strength shall be enhanced to 2%, the heat energy produced by coke dry quenching technology shall generate electricity for near 40,000,000 kw every year.

In Dec. 2003, WISCO Aumomatization Corp. adopted Control Logix 5555 controller and RSView system from AV Corp., and completed the development of coke dry quenching automatization control system; this system is divided into 16 sub-systems.
