| The Detecting Device for Slag Carryover of Continuously Cast Ladle is used for the detecting the content of nozzle slag in the large ladle using steel making process of continuous casting so as to improve the purity of the liquid steel in the intermediate ladle and to obtain the optimal yield of the liquid steel from the large ladle . Such device employs the principle of making detection through electromagnetic induction to ensure the purity of the liquid steel in the ladle. The conventional visual inspection of steel slag apt to yield reduction attributive to premature closing of steel ladle,while the steel slag detection system can detect timely the slag carryover of the liquid steel with proper accuracy. Hence the control of residual steel contentwithin the rage of 1%-2% is realized. Since the amount of steel slag being carried into the intermediate ladle is the major parameter affecting the purity of the finished steel, the application of the slag detection system becomes essential to minimize the content of slag in the intermediate ladle, thus improve the purity of liquid steel and reduce the surface defects of the products at the joints between one slab and the next by 80% The steel slag carried into the intermediate ladle is also the main reason for the blockage of nozzle at the time of re-oxidation. The operation of such system can greatly reduce the nozzle blockage as to allow the realization of casting without slag.
