Computerized Steel Making System and Sub-lance Test Control Technology for Converters

The Computerized Steel Making System andSub-lance Test Control Technology for Converters is developed based on the sub-lance measurement system, multiple sensors and actual in-situ application curves. The whole system consists of a embedded computer, a personal computer and their accessories.

The sub-lance of the converter is used in theblowing process of steel making operation for measurement of parameters e.g. the temperature of liquid steel, its oxygen, carbon contents and liquid steel level.

The sub-lance first measurement result entering the process computer automatically starts the dynamic mathematical model around 2 minutes before the end of theblowingso as to conductautomatic control of the temperature and carbon content in the liquid steel and complete theblowing process of the steel making operation without turndown and re-blowing.

Major Technical Specification:
  • Temperature measurement range: the pot crucible is 1450--1750℃, the crystal is 1350--1750℃, the oxygen potential is 0--300mV.
  • Measuring speed: The measured data shall be transmitted to the secondary machine system within 0.001 seconds upon the completion of sampling lasting at most 24 seconds.
  • Precision of measurement result: the error is ± 0.1 carbon and ± 1 PPM value.
  • Reliability of measurement result: higher than the foreign products of the same kin
